BFFL & My new Nikon!!

HELLO! :)
I did a little something for Jessica! You know... something pink! LOL
Hope you like it! I used heart shaped chipboard to hold the ribbon... Some glitter, some heat embossing, a swirl stamp... Take care! And thank you for stoping by and your comments! :)

PS Lots of things are in the works right now... but I can't share just yet!! Looks like in a month, I will be able to start letting you know my little secrets ;)

On an exciting note... I got my NIKON today!! I am super excited!! I have to learn how to use it properly first though! LOL The whole automatic function is great and easy, but I want to learn the ins and outs :)

Here is a pic I took of my baby girl today, Whipette... My 7 year old 3 pound chihuahua... who I love so much!

Designing Like a STAR Contest at the Chalet (week 2)

**Update: The design in the previous post "essence of Vanilla" was accepted on the Basic Grey gallery :) **

Here is my design for the Challenge week 2... A lot of cutting!! LOL
The challenge was to use a circular sketch from Pencil Lines;


*Transparency as a base
*Imagination Project (Morningside Heights) for greens
*Tickled Pink - Journey for flowers
*Cardstock (white, blue, peach & pink)
*Inks
*Pens
*Bling
*Glossy Accents

Since it is a little difficult to take a picture of a transparency type design, here are 2 pics with different backgrouds....

Designing Like a STAR Contest at the Chalet (week 1)

Here is my first design for the contest...

Challenge # 1:

I would like you to create a layout all about you! I would like to see atleast 1 photo, and a lot of journaling ~ letting me know all about you! Your favorite colors, songs, likes, dislikes etc.. You're able to use any products you want, it's all up to you!

Hope you like it!! I had such a difficult time creatiing about me and figuring out something to write down... lol

Scrap Journal and Monogram

Here is a journal I altered to put my sketches, products used, ideas...

I used linen for the spine & covered with paper... Added flower ribbon to cover the transition between the two... Added a big bling prima flower

Hello again!!

First I have to tell you something! I met up to scrap with Flower! First time we met... Now, I was nervous... but wow!! She is not only a gorgeous person inside, but outside too!! She has the most gorgeous hair I have ever seen!! LOL Kinda red, but subtle... And it's natural!! LOL Anyhow, she is super nice! And SOOOO Talented! I think I watched her work more than I worked... You would think stamping and making a card is a simple 1-2-3 process... NO! Stamping in itself is an art! I would not have the patience to ensure that the stamp turned out as perfect!! And the color of the ink... and then paper, embellies, ribbons... and then there is finding a quote!!
Just remember, you see those cards - next time, leave them a comment!! Learn to appreciate the amount of work and thought put into those masterpieces!! Stamping - card making - is a TRUE art! And a passion... I know I have found a new respect towards these artists... It isn't as simple as it looks... FLOWER - I had a great time, and next time, we will take the time to eat!! LOL
